"What is a Slice Diamond (Polki)?"
 Known as "POLKI" in India, it is actually one of the oldest types of cut diamonds in history. It has been beloved in India since long before Western-style cutting techniques were born. Its characteristic feature is that the diamond is thinly sliced and finished with flat surfaces on both sides. 
Also called a "no-cut diamond," the rough shape of the original stone is preserved, and each one is carefully shaped by the hands of a skilled artisan. Therefore, unlike diamonds with perfectly arranged facets, its sparkle is somehow soft, emitting a gentle light that seems to seep out from within. Even today, it is treasured as sacred jewelry to adorn brides at traditional Indian weddings.

This pendant uses a 0.56-carat slice diamond💎 
Because it is thinly sliced to utilize its as-mined form, you can see natural inclusions nurtured by the Earth, as well as minor surface chips and irregularities that wouldn't be seen in artificial stones. 
These are by no means flaws, but rather a testament to the long time this stone has traveled, and the very "personality" that makes it unique.

The metal used is K18 yellow gold, in a design that gently envelops the stone with an antique-style texture of milgrain. This is an AARUSHI original design, born from a deep understanding of the stone's individuality, with each piece handcrafted with care by a skilled artisan.

◆The diamonds used in this piece are carefully polished one by one at our own factory in India. We devise a design that best brings out the individuality of each stone, and Indian artisans then finish them into pendants by hand with great care.

◆The diamonds are not artificially colored, such as through heat treatment, and retain their natural hues.
