"What is a Slice Diamond (Polki)?"
 Known as "POLKI" in India, it is actually one of the oldest types of cut diamonds in history. It has been beloved in India since long before Western-style cutting techniques were born. Its characteristic feature is that the diamond is thinly sliced and finished with flat surfaces on both sides. 
Also called a "no-cut diamond," the rough shape of the original stone is preserved, and each one is carefully shaped by the hands of a skilled artisan. 
Therefore, unlike diamonds with arranged facets, it emits a soft, gentle light that seems to seep out from within.

Because they are thinly sliced to utilize the as-mined form, you can see natural inclusions nurtured by the Earth, as well as minor surface chips and irregularities that wouldn't be seen in artificial stones. 
These are by no means flaws, but rather the very "personality" that makes each one unique.

We devise a design that best brings out the stone's personality, and Japanese artisans then finish them into rings by hand with great care.

◆The diamonds are not artificially colored, such as through heat treatment, and retain their natural shape and hue.
